Boulder’s iconic historic hotel offers three types of tea service: Boulderado Tea, Royale Tea, and Children’s Tea

Boulder Dushanbe Teahouse – An elegant afternoon tea is available daily, by reservation. English-style white linens accompany all the tea time accouterments.

St. Julien Hotel & Spa – Visit the hotel and enjoy their Gingerbread Tea

Chautauqua Dining Hall – Sunday tea service happens in front of the cozy fireplace.

The Huckleberry – Nov 29 – Jan 1
The Huckleberry Restaurant in Louisville serves afternoon tea year-round.  During December though, tea service is holiday-themed and guests are also treated to a holiday gift bag.

2. Outdoor Fun

Ice Skating in Louisville – All December long
Located next to Steinbaugh Pavilion.  A hot cocoa and snack bar is located next to rink and skates are available for rent.

Horse Drawn Carriage Rides – Sat/Sun in December
Leaves from Steinbaugh Pavilion 12p-3p.  Free.

3. Fun Events for the Kids

Gingerbread House Decorating – Dec 20-22
Visit Bittersweet Café in downtown Louisville for Gingerbread House Decorating from 4pm-7pm.

Motown for Kids Holiday Celebration – Dec 22
The Boulder Theater presents the Motown for Kids Holiday Celebration performed by the Rock and Roll Playhouse group of performers.  These performers offer weekly family concerts at many of the regional concert halls and theaters.  Volume levels are turned down and games and audience participation is encouraged.

4. Indoor Light Show

Season of Light Show at Fiske Planetarium – Ongoing in Dec
Visit the planetarium on CU’s campus for a special show that explains the history and development of the world’s most interesting holiday rituals, all of which involve lighting up the winter season.  This is a special experience given the film is designed for viewing in a planetarium that mimics the night sky. 5. Post-Holiday Fun

Lafayette Quaker Oatmeal Festival/5k Run – Jan 11
Run a 5k and enjoy a warm bowl of oatmeal topped with every imaginable combination in downtown Lafayette.

Arctic Prairie Dog Half Marathon – Jan 19
Run a 5k, 10k, or Half Marathon which winds through the back roads of east Boulder County.
